AMD may bring the end to x86

AMD's ARM based Opteron will cause a major plate tectonic shift in computing.

AMD is enslaved by the x86 instruction set controlled by Intel's licensing restrictions. With ARM, AMD can finally break free and dominate.

AMD has everything in its own sleeves: CPU, ccHT (cache coherent hypertransport), embedded memory controller, GPGPU and the Fabric. With the advent of Windows for ARM, the world can finally live without x86.

In five years, x86's share on desktop and mobile will be substantially reduced. In ten years, x86 will be almost gone.

After 5 months of silence this is the best you can come up with.

First it was Intel going bankrupt soon. Then not so soon, then you like the cunt you are, stopped talking about it.

Then it was "treble damages" and massive lawsuits, that well, never happened.

Then it was the uber performance of AMD CPUs, that never happened.

AMD is dead. I would expect to see the end of AMD in 2013. More than likely bought out by someone for the technologies in the former ATI side of the house...

Leave it to Sharikou to stupidly credit AMD for killing x86. Nope, it's ARM and your statement alone proves that you can never change your terminal retardness. AMD is late in the game but it's their best chance to survive in the future. NVidia is now a major player and has plans to create their own CPU arch designs like Krait and A6. You are irrelevant and impotent. In fact, this comment alone speaks more fact and insight than your own current post.

The last thing I saw that was this incoherent was the Romney/Ryan tax plan.

How is this any different than being a slave to Intel's x86 arch? They'll just be a slave to ARM's arch.

Can someone tell this Sharikou idiot that AMD won't have ARM servers until 2014 when it's TOO LATE?

Oh wait, I just did.

Guess what... AMD debt is now rated CCC. Just one notch above JUNK STATUS. Two more notches and AMD would be in BK LAND.

How's this for irony?

I'd like to see how the dummy that runs this site gonna spin THIS positively.

I think rather that we are seeing an end to AMD. http://seekingalpha.com/article/1244141-advanced-micro-devices-latest-servers-powered-by-intel?source=yahoo

Nope. It might well be ARM that eventually does x86 in, but it won't be AMD's ARM processors
